CADILLAC — A Michigan Department of Transportation resurfacing project is set to begin on June 28 in Wexford County.
MDOT is investing $2.9 million to resurface about 5.5 miles of U.S. 131 from Business route U.S. 131 to Boon Road near Cadillac. Work includes milling and resurfacing. It will also add safety benefits to the roadway with the addition of new rumble strips and pavement markings.
The project map is available on Mi Drive.
MDOT says the work will require daytime single-lane closures with traffic shifts. One lane will remain open in each direction.
